About the Role
The Senior D365 Developer is part of the J.S. Held ERP Team and focuses on solving business challenges through technical solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations. This role involves X++ and SQL Server development, collaboration with delivery teams, and providing advanced technical guidance for enhancements and support initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design and program solutions using X++ in D365 F&O and Power Platform
- Apply quarterly Microsoft updates by merging ISV code packages and releasing via Azure DevOps pipelines
- Stay current with emerging technologies related to Dynamics D365 F&O programming
- Use D365 best practices to develop new features and address reported issues
- Develop new functionalities and integrations to support business growth
- Implement hotfixes, kernel updates, and other Microsoft updates
- Create and maintain Technical Specifications Documents and enhancement documentation
- Manage source control, configuration, and release management in AX2012 projects
- Customize and develop solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O platform
- Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly
- Support and enhance existing D365 F&O applications
Required Skills
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience with Dynamics AX/D365 F&O, including X++ and C#.NET
- 8+ years experience with MorphX and Azure DevOps
- 5+ years experience developing SSRS reports
- Experience collaborating with delivery teams and third-party functional consultants on D365 F&O projects
- Familiarity with Power Platform and Power Apps is desirable
- Knowledge of test automation techniques and Unit Test Frameworks
- Experience with reporting and business intelligence tools, including Power BI
- Familiarity with Azure functions and Azure Logic Apps is desirable
- Strong organizational and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a collaborative environment
- Knowledge of data conversion and integration processes for D365 deployments
- Exposure to highly interfaced ERP environments
- Experience with Management/Financial Reporter in AX2012 and D365
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Accounting/Finance, or related technical field. MS Dynamics AX/D365 certification is highly desirable.
